  • One-stop Overview: View and manage all integrations from a single dashboard. You will see here 3 tabs:

  • Directory: Upload CSV files from here.

  • Data Warehouse: Through our platform, you have the capability to export raw data to BigQuery. Once your data is in BigQuery, you have the flexibility to utilize it with BI tools of your choice, such as Power BI, Looker, and Tableau. Please note that we do not provide direct integrations with these BI tools. Any BI integration post-export is the responsibility of the customer.

  • Project Management (Beta): This is a new tab where you will find current integrations with project management tools. 

  • Easy Configurations: Activate, deactivate, or modify integrations effortlessly.

More tabs to come! As we add more integrations, we will add more tabs to the Integration Card.

Note: Once the sync is complete, a comprehensive summary of all your integrations will be available. This will include the number of synced projects, the number of tasks in sync, and any unmatched employees. You can also add more projects for syncing and manage mapping employees from this page. To access detailed productivity insights and keep track of how your team is spending their time, simply click on the "Go to Projects" button.

Integrating Your Project Management Tool 

To set up project management integrations with Insightful you will need to be an administrator:

Navigate to the Settings → Integrations page → Project Management (Beta).

Click on Configure Integration for the chosen provider.

Follow the step-by-step instructions for your project management tool.

Syncing Your Projects

Once you have been successfully authenticated as an Administrator, you are ready to begin syncing your projects. 

Choose which projects/lists from the project management application you want to sync with Insightful.

Once all projects/lists are imported, you will be able to immediately start tracking time on projects/lists and tasks.

When selecting projects to sync with Insightful, it is important to consider the following factors:

  • The size and complexity of the project: Larger and more complex projects may require more granular data, which can be difficult to track in a project management tool.

  • Syncing Flexibility: Syncing capabilities can differ among project management tools. Some tools only sync to-dos, while others offer a more complete sync of lists and tasks. It's important to choose tools that align with your project requirements.

  • Seamless Data Integration: It should be noted that not all project management software can integrate smoothly with Insightful. When there is a direct sync option available, the workflow is simplified, which eliminates the need for manual data transfers.

After taking these factors into account, it's best to carefully choose which projects to sync with Insightful. Overloading the platform with too many projects can make it challenging to keep track of your data.

User Mapping

When setting up your Insightful account, you'll need to match users from your project management provider to our platform. This is important for tracking time and assigning tickets. Insightful will attempt to match users based on their email addresses and names, but any unmatched users can be mapped manually at a later time.

Kindly be aware that this feature is currently in beta phase. If you encounter any discrepancies or problems with user mapping, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. Unmatched users will not have access to time tracking, but we will make certain that your ticket information remains up-to-date in real time.
